About me

A P P R O A C H

My work is instinctive. I start either from an existing reference, a visual idea that emerges from something I’ve seen, or sometimes from a personal experience. I don’t build images to explain something clearly, but to create a space where aesthetics, symbolism, and discomfort coexist. What matters to me is the balance between these elements, when an image can be visually appealing, but also carry tension or ambiguity.

I don’t feel the need to guide interpretation. My illustrations are not meant to be read in one specific way. Each person can project their own meaning, their own story, or simply react to what they see.

My visual universe revolves around recurring obsessions: martyrs, bodies, saints, trauma, and death, whether human, animal, or even floral.

What draws me to these themes is not just their darkness, but the intensity of what they reveal. I’m interested in the humanity that appears in extreme situations, something raw, sincere, and often more honest than anything else. For me, these subjects feel natural. They are part of a visual and emotional language that I’m drawn to, without needing to justify it.

I started engraving at the end of 2021, somewhat by chance, simply because I was strongly drawn to its aesthetic. Before that, I was doing realistic nude drawings in charcoal. My interest in the body was already present, but engraving allowed me to push it further, toward something more symbolic and structured.

I don’t come from an academic art background. My work comes from self-teaching, observation, repetition, and a lot of trial and error. I learned by making, by breaking things, and by starting again in different ways.

In a sense, it is precisely the absence of a fixed framework that has shaped my visual language the most.

I co-founded Femmes Obscures with two other women artists, La Satanée and Le Miroir Fou. The project was created to highlight and support women working within dark, symbolic, and alternative visual practices, spaces that are often overlooked or misunderstood.

Through our exhibitions, we bring together around twenty women artists from all over the world, creating a shared space for diverse voices and perspectives within this visual language.
Each exhibition is also accompanied by an opening event that includes a tattoo artist, a live concert, a brewery, and a merch table, turning the vernissage into a full immersive gathering that extends the artistic experience beyond the walls of the exhibition itself.
